顺溜窝在埋伏点，看着姐姐和姐夫和美生活，想起童年自己和姐姐的生活片段，无比温馨。埋伏的第三天，坂田的小分队过来了，他们发现了顺溜的姐姐。坂田畜生般地糟蹋了姐姐。顺溜的姐夫赶回来，与坂田拼命，惨死在坂田的军刀下。顺溜眼睁睁地看着这悲剧发生，悲痛难忍，他的枪颤抖着。石原的车过来了。顺溜极力克制悲愤情绪，想起父亲和陈大雷的嘱咐，集中精力，一枪击中石原。顺溜疯狂地冲了出来，追击逃窜的日军。顺溜哭泣回头寻找姐姐，姐姐疯了，不认识他，跳井自杀。顺溜回到部队，对姐姐的事只字不提，把自己关进禁闭室。淮阴城日军为石原准备了葬礼，石原临终前让坂田把自己的骨灰带回日本。六分区受到嘉奖，顺溜成了战斗英雄。在庆功会上，披上红花的顺溜站在台前，说自己不叫陈二雷，就叫顺溜，那是爹起的名字，永远都不会再改了。
