Doi adolescenți orfani, Andi și Bruce, sunt trimiși să locuiască cu o familie adoptivă care îi acceptă doar sperând să mai facă un ban de pe urma lor. În momentul în care un câine apare în viața lor, traiul în familia adoptivă devine insuportabil. De-abia sunt doriți ei acolo, darămite un cățel... Cei doi copii trebuie să găsească o soluție. Pe stradă nu pot locui, asa că o clădire părăsită pare locul perfect pentru a-i adăposti. Iar când, pe lângă cățelul lor se trezesc pe cap cu o sumedenie de alți căței aruncați pe stradă, inventivii copii știu ce au de făcut... un Hotel pentru căței!
