Der amerikanische Abenteurer Pat (Burt Reynolds) lebt auf den Philippinen. Eines Tages erfährt er, dass US-Soldaten während des Zweiten Weltkriegs hier in einer Inselfestung einen Goldschatz vor den Japanern versteckt haben.
